When to order Eid dresses for each Eid

Eid and guest outfits take up to 18 calendar days to reach a UK address. The count starts the day after you order and covers both the stitching and the courier, so the day you order is the day that matters. Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery are bridal and groom options and are not normally available for these outfits, which is why the dates below have no shortcut.

  • Eid ul-Fitr: order by the tenth day of Ramadan. Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days and Eid is confirmed by the moon sighting, so plan for the earlier possible date; families and mosques sometimes celebrate a day apart.
  • Eid ul-Adha: it falls on the tenth of Dhul Hijjah, about ten weeks after Eid ul-Fitr. Order by the middle of Dhul Qadah, the month before.
  • Both Eids in one order: order early in Ramadan and you have both covered, with a lighter fabric for one and a warmer one for the other if the weather calls for it.

The same delivery times apply to addresses elsewhere in Europe. Orders are priced in GBP, and the European delivery charge is shown at checkout.

Pick the fabric for the weather on the day

The Islamic year is about eleven days shorter than the solar year, so each Eid arrives earlier every year and, over time, passes through every British season. Choose the fabric for the forecast, not for what you wore last Eid.

  • Embroidered lawn: a fine, breathable cotton for warm days, long Eid lunches and an outfit you wear from morning to evening.
  • Chiffon: light and fluid, and easy to dress up for an Eid dinner.
  • Net and organza: sheer, crisper layers that carry embroidery well, for evening parties and family gatherings.
  • Raw silk: a denser weave with more body; warmer on a cold Eid morning, and it holds a structured shape.

Shalwar kameez, sharara, maxi or lehenga for Eid

Start with what the day involves. For Eid prayers, cooking and a long round of visits, a shalwar kameez is the most practical choice: you can sit, kneel and move in it, and the dupatta covers your hair at the mosque. A sharara set keeps the kameez and dupatta and swaps in wide, flared trousers that look more festive by the afternoon; see our sharara outfits. For an Eid dinner, a maxi or a long frock gives one long line: browse Pakistani maxi dresses and Pakistani frock styles, or our anarkali range if you like a flared kameez. Keep a lehenga choli or saree for an Eid party, or for an outfit that also has to work at a wedding later on; our outfits for Pakistani wedding guests follow the same ordering times.

Covered enough for the Eid prayer

If you are going to the mosque or an outdoor Eid prayer, look for full or three-quarter sleeves, a neckline that sits close and a dupatta long enough to drape over your hair and shoulders. Before we stitch, ask whether a design can take longer sleeves or a higher neckline: on these branded outfits, approved size changes and feasible style changes cost nothing extra.

Size and fit without a fitting room

Each outfit is stitched to a standard size or, on designs that offer it, to a Custom Size made exactly to the measurements you send. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one. Our workshop works in inches, with centimetres shown for reference; the size guide shows how to measure, and our team contacts you after you order for your full measurements.

Why choose Shadi Dress for Eid dresses

Shadi Dress buys the unstitched fabric directly from Pakistani labels and keeps a purchase record for each article, so you know where your Eid outfit started. Our own workshops in Pakistan then do the tailoring after you order, and the outfit is couriered straight to you. Before dispatch, you can ask for a full video of the finished outfit. Import charges are normally prepaid by us: if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount. You pay by PayPal, card or bank transfer, and the delivery terms for the UK and Europe are on our delivery information page.

Eid dresses: frequently asked questions

What is the last day to order an Eid dress for Eid ul-Fitr?

Aim for the tenth day of Ramadan. Delivery takes up to 18 calendar days from the day after you order, stitching included, and Eid comes after 29 or 30 fasts depending on the moon sighting. Ordering by the tenth day leaves room for the earlier date; order later and the outfit may arrive on chand raat or after Eid.

Can I pay for Rush Delivery on an Eid outfit?

Not normally. Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery are offered on bridal and groom wear, while Eid and wedding guest outfits use Normal Delivery, up to 18 calendar days. If your date is close, message us on WhatsApp before you order so you know where you stand.

Are these Eid outfits ready-made?

No. They start as unstitched label fabric, and our workshops stitch yours after you order, in a standard size or a Custom Size. The size and any approved changes are settled before the fabric is cut, so the outfit arrives ready to wear, without a trip to a tailor.

Can I cancel an Eid order?

Yes, within 12 hours of ordering for a full refund. After that, and before dispatch, 35% of the amount paid is deducted. Once an Eid outfit has been dispatched it cannot be returned or exchanged, so check the size guide and ask for the video of the finished outfit before it ships.

Do you send Eid dresses to Europe?

Yes. Our UK site sells to every European country, with prices in GBP, and Eid outfits reach European addresses in the same time as UK ones: up to 18 calendar days, counted from the day after you order. The European delivery charge is shown at checkout, so you see it before you pay.
