Which outfit suits the bride’s mother

  • Long kameez with trousers: the easiest outfit from morning to midnight, and the South Asian answer to a mother of the bride trouser suit. Compare our salwar kameez for the family.
  • Gown or maxi with a dupatta: floor length, often with full sleeves, and no saree drape to manage; see our floor-length maxis.
  • Lehenga with a long shirt or peshwas: the dressiest choice for the baraat or walima. A cancan under the skirt adds volume and weight, so if you will be on your feet all evening, check whether the design has one, or choose a gown or a long kameez instead.
  • Saree: one drape over a stitched blouse. Choose a blouse with sleeves and practise the drape before the day; more in our saree range.

Colour beside the bride

At many Pakistani and Indian weddings the bride wears red or maroon for the main ceremony, so the mothers usually pick a colour that sits beside her rather than matching her: ivory or gold with gold work, deep plum, bottle green, or soft pink and ice blue for a daytime nikkah or walima. How early to order

Each design page lists its delivery options before you order. Outfits made from branded fabric that we buy directly from Pakistani labels reach UK addresses in up to 18 calendar days; Rush Delivery is not normally available on them, so message us first if your date is close. Designs from our bridal range come with free Normal Delivery in up to three months, Rush Delivery in up to 30 calendar days for £59, or Super Rush Delivery in up to 14 calendar days for £199. Each delivery time counts from the day after you order and includes stitching and shipping. Ask for progress photos while a bridal-range design is being made, or a full video of a finished label-fabric outfit before dispatch. Can I have longer sleeves or a higher neckline?

Usually, yes. On label-fabric outfits, approved size changes and feasible style changes such as longer sleeves or a higher neckline cost nothing extra. On designs from our bridal range, a change that needs more fabric, embroidery or labour is priced and agreed with you before work starts. Send the design and your request on WhatsApp before you order.

Can I order a larger size?

Yes. Choose Custom Size and the outfit is stitched exactly to the measurements you send; our team contacts you after you order to collect them. Between two standard sizes, take the larger one in our size guide. To check a particular design against your measurements first, send both to us on WhatsApp.

Can I return an outfit if it does not fit?

No. Each outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so there are no returns or exchanges after delivery. You can cancel a label-fabric outfit within 12 hours of ordering, or a design from our bridal range within 24 hours, for a full refund; after that, until dispatch, 35% of the amount paid is deducted.
