Pakistani Party Wear Dresses for Evening Dos
Pakistani party wear dresses earn their place after dark, when the embroidery has to catch the light across a hall and the cut still has to let you sit, eat and dance for hours. At Shadi Dress, our own designs are embroidered in our workshops in Pakistan, and every outfit is stitched after you order, in a standard size or to your measurements. Choose from gharara suits, long shirts over trousers or a lehenga, pishwas, anarkalis, open gowns and lehenga sarees, then pick your size on the product page and order.

What makes party wear work after dark
Evening light in a hall is warm and low, so the work matters more than the colour. Zardozi and dabka, raised embroidery in metallic thread and coiled wire, give depth you can see from across the room. Sequins, mukaish (tiny flat pieces of metal) and gota (metallic ribbon) flicker as you move.
Colour shifts under those lights too. Ivory, gold and antique gold glow warm; ice blue, lilac and pistachio stay cool; black and deep fuchsia make gold work stand out. If the party is part of a wedding, leave bright bridal red to the bride.
Choosing a cut for the night you have planned
- Dancing: a short or mid-length shirt over a gharara or sharara moves with you; see our sharara and gharara sets.
- Floor seating or a long dinner: at a dholki or a family meal, a long shirt over straight trousers or a shalwar is the easiest outfit to wear for hours.
- Making an entrance: a pishwas or anarkali flares from the waist, while an open gown over a lehenga or a lehenga saree is the dressiest choice for a reception-style evening. For simpler floor-length shapes, compare our floor-length maxi dresses and flared Pakistani frocks.
Party wear or an outfit for the ceremony?
Start from the invitation. Our guest outfits for each wedding function are planned around the mehndi, nikkah, baraat and walima, Pakistani formals suit a dinner with a dress code, and for your own engagement there are engagement outfits. Party wear covers the evenings in between: the dholki, a friend’s engagement party, a birthday or an Eid dinner.
Ordering for a party date
Choose a standard size from our size guide, taking the larger one if you are between two, or Custom Size, the made-to-measure option in the size menu, stitched exactly to the measurements you send; our team contacts you after you order to collect them. Where the product page asks for your height, give it accurately: it helps us get the length right. Want a different colour, longer sleeves or a higher neckline? On many designs, that can be changed before stitching, so send your request on WhatsApp before you order and we confirm what the design allows.
Each product page works out an estimated delivery date for every delivery option it offers, and the delivery period starts the day after you order. We deliver to the rest of Europe from this site too, priced in pounds sterling, with the delivery charge shown at checkout. Full terms are on our delivery terms page.
Why choose Shadi Dress for Pakistani party wear
Shadi Dress has made bridal wear since 2013, and the same workshops in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad embroider our own party wear designs and stitch every outfit we sell. Nothing is cut until you order, so your standard size or Custom Size is made for you, and you can ask for photos or a video of the finished outfit before it is dispatched. Import charges are normally prepaid by us; if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount.
Party wear questions
Can I order party wear outside the standard size chart?
Yes. Choose Custom Size on the product page and we stitch the outfit exactly to the measurements you send, which suits plus sizes, petite frames and anyone whose shape falls between two sizes. Our team contacts you after you order for full measurements.
How much does Pakistani party wear cost?
Every design shows its price in pounds, and you can sort the grid from low to high. Fabric, cut and the amount of embroidery explain the difference between designs. Anything optional you add, such as a faster delivery option or matching jewellery where a design offers it, shows its price before you pay.
Can I return party wear if I change my mind?
No. Each outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so there are no returns or exchanges after delivery. To get it right first time, send careful measurements, ask us about the design on WhatsApp before you order and request the video.
