Shop Reception Dresses for Brides, from Trailing Gowns to Sarees
Reception dresses give you a second bridal look after the baraat, so start with the shape you want to change into: a reception gown on its own or over a lehenga, a reception lehenga with a full skirt, a peshwas, a farshi gharara or a saree. Colours run from ivory, ice blue and soft pinks to wine, rust and emerald, worked in silver, rose gold or gold. Every piece is stitched after you order, in a standard size or to your measurements.

Gown, lehenga, peshwas or saree: what to change from the baraat
If your baraat outfit is a red lehenga, the reception lets you change the shape, the colour or both. A gown changes the shape most: one line from shoulder to floor, either a closed gown or a gown that opens at the front over a lehenga. With a trail it makes the most of an entrance or a stage; without one it is easier to move in through a long evening. A lehenga keeps the volume, which a cancan layer can hold out, and can move into pinks, gold or ivory or stay red. A peshwas sits in between, a long, flared frock worn over a lehenga, and a farshi gharara gives floor-length volume without a lehenga skirt.
A saree changes shape and line together. Our sarees for the reception come in tissue silk, masuri, Banarsi or organza, with blouses from sleeveless to full sleeves and a high neck, and in a lehenga-saree style that adds a flared skirt and a trail. Each blouse is stitched in your size or to your measurements.
Colours and embroidery for the evening
Reception colours are open. Ivory, white, ice blue and pastels read softer after a red baraat, while wine, rust, navy or emerald keep the evening rich. The embroidery colour changes the effect as much as the base: silver and antique silver cool a pale shade, rose gold softens it, gold warms it, and tonal thread keeps the surface calm. The handwork is built from dabka, zari, salma sitara, nakshi, kora, sequins and pearls. Every bridal design can be ordered as Full Custom Design, so ask about a different colour or embroidery shade before you order; anything that adds fabric, embroidery or labour is priced and agreed with you before work starts.
Reception or walima
If your walima is serving as the reception, one outfit can cover both events. If the walima is your main event, see our walima collection as well.
Timing your order
Bridal delivery times count calendar days from the day after you order and include stitching and shipping:
- Normal Delivery: up to 3 months, free
- Rush Delivery: up to 30 calendar days, £59
- Super Rush Delivery: up to 14 calendar days, £199
If the reception follows the baraat within days, order both outfits together and plan against the baraat date. For Custom Size, provide the requested measurements; for a standard size, use the size chart and take the larger size if you fall between two. A bridal order cancelled within 24 hours is refunded in full; after that, and before dispatch, 35% of the amount paid is deducted. We also deliver to addresses across Europe, priced in pounds sterling and with the same delivery times; the European delivery charge is shown at checkout. Full terms are on our delivery page.
Reception dress questions
What should guests wear to a reception?
Reception dresses are made for the bride. Guests and family can choose from our outfits for wedding guests, made from branded unstitched fabric we buy directly from Pakistani labels. Guest wear reaches UK addresses within up to 18 calendar days, with delivery at £9.99, or free from £200.
Can the groom’s reception outfit come from you too?
Yes. Our sherwani range for grooms is stitched in our own workshops after you order, in standard sizes S, M, L and XL or to his measurements, with Normal Delivery, Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery as for bridal wear, so both outfits can be planned for one date.
Will I be charged customs?
Import charges are normally prepaid by us, for UK addresses and for the other European countries we deliver to, so couriers usually ask you for nothing. If a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount.
Can I see the dress before it is sent?
Yes. While your reception dress is being made, ask us on WhatsApp for progress photos and close-up videos of the embroidery and colour, so you see the work before dispatch.
